Legacy/Superseded Kit Builder Manual

This manual has been superseded with the transfer of ownership of the kit company. We’ll plan to leave it available as long as possible but the most current source is https://bearhawkaircraft.com/manuals

This manual is not constructed in a traditional book format, where you read each page from start to finish. Rather, it is built around a “tree” structure where tasks are oriented based on their order of completion. We intend that builders will access the sections that they need right before they need them, ensuring that they are using the most up-to-date version of each section.

Several years ago, in an effort to consolidate builder information into a single site, we worked with Mark, seller of the Bearhawk Kits, to update his original pdf kit builder manual. That content was added here and was current as of its publication.

However, in 2024 the Bearhawk Kit production company changed hands, and as of that changeover, this content is no longer the most current. You can find their current documentation at

We have left this content in place for a few reasons. First, folks are still building kits that were shipped before the ownership change, and for those builders, this content may be more applicable than newly-published content that reflects manufacturing changes. Second, if builders find any gaps in the new guidance, this old guidance might fill in an occasional useful nugget.

If you would like to access this content, please understand that this information is secondary to any guidance published by Bearhawk Aircraft. Please don’t contact Bearhawk Aircraft to complain about this guidance, but feel free to Contact Us instead! You can also make a comment directly on the article, and this is always encouraged, especially if the article falls short of helping you complete a task.

We don’t want to host outdated information. If you find something that is wrong, we’d like to include a note to help explain the discrepancy for other builders.
