For those who weren’t there, Oshkosh was… well, it was Oshkosh. Huge, hot, cold, dry, wet and all the
extremes of weather we’ve come to associate with the event. It was, by all accounts, one of the very best in
terms of both people and aircraft attendance.
The Clan Bearhawk was well represented with four being on the grounds at one time; Will Graf’s plans-built, Bob’s Prototype I, Mark Goldberg’s quick-build, that did demo duty for AviPro at Fond du Lac for most of the week, and Robbie Staton’s three-bladed Q/B hoss that was at stage center in the AviPro booth until replaced by Mark’s airplane on Friday when Robbie had to get back to farming his fish. Chuck Judy and his wife Dawn also made a late appearance in their new airplane – Proto II, N33RB.
The demos were well received. So well received, in fact, that one Maule owner who got a flight had to be restrained from running out in the aisles to grab people to come look at the Bearhawk. It seems he liked it. He’ll join the Clan BH as soon as he gets rid of his current machine.
The demos were all flow by Greg King who did an excellent job not only in flying the airplane but in representing both the company and the airplane to a wide range of those interested in the airplane. All though the sales activity is still being affected by Oshkosh, it can be safely said that the size of the BH community has grown significantly.

Chuck and Dawn also pitched in to help when it was time to pack up the AviPro booth.
