This scratch-built Patrol belongs to Jeff and Lynne Stoltenberg, both qualified pilots. It includes a Lycoming 360 and a Hartzell prop.

Jeff installed VGs at 4.5% of chord, or 64.25″ forward of the trailing edge. Like nearly everyone, he says he gets a big improvement in the low speed performance with very little top-end penalty.
Bearhawks with as-designed flap systems require some locks to keep the flaps up when parking outdoors. Here is Jeff’s solution:

Check out this cool back-seat GPS mount. Well, it’s mounted to the front seat, but it’s in the perfect spot for the back seater to have some increased situational awareness.
