Shown below are photo’s of Dave Bice’s (serial #704) wing strut being fitted to the strut ends.


He has clamped the strut ends to the struts lined up on the centerline of the strut, as shown on Drawing #15A.
Dave removed the assembly and drilled thru one side of the strut with a 1/4” bit. Then installed the ends inside the strut – reinstalled on the airplane. Clamped the struts tight down against the strut ends, removed the assembly from the airplane and drilled thru the other side of the strut.
