I first came up with this concept as an outgrowth of my realization I was not always comfortable leaving the airplane unattended for long periods while I explored on foot. What if, instead, I searched out interesting or unique sites or natural features, formulated a plan of attack, and then sneaked in and grabbed a picture before beating a hasty retreat. It sounded fun!
