This is one of the better ideas I have had. No new holes, a small piece of .032, four rivets (already required) and a small strip of silicone tape on the door flange.

Sealing Plates for the Top of the Shock Struts

These cover plates with related rubber seal gasket are used to seal the clearance hole where the landing gear shock struts pass thru the fuselage belly skin.
